JOB HUNTING
It’s 2012. And one of my new year’s resolution is to have a job.
I woke up early. I went in central post office to get a postal id but before it was given to me, a lot of things happened that tested my patience.
Barangay clearance is one of the requirements for postal id. But unfortunately, I didn’t bring it because it’s already out of date and I thought cedula is enough. I don’t have any choice but to get a new clearance. Then I went in Barangay, Id’s are needed. I explained to them that I need a clearance to get an id, I showed them my cedula and the old clearance as a proof that they already issued past months ago and all that they need to do is to renew it. Still. They didn’t allow me to have a new clearance until I showed an id of my parents or school id. I’m started to get impatient and irritated. I pray and asked for some strength and patience. A voice whispered in my ears and said “go back at the CPO and pass your old clearance. And I rushed in the CPO and obey what’s the voice was saying. Thanks God they didn’t notice that my old clearance was expired. Then after 30 minutes I already got my postal id. Yippee!
She, Jana and I went in Cubao. We ate lunch @ Mcdonalds Alimall. When we were walking along Tuazon Avenue, I fall on the ground maybe it’s because of my high heels. SUPER LAUGH TRIP!!
We were planning to apply in Accenture. But a lady gives us a brochure and invites us to try NCO job fair. And we decided to give it a try. We were so excited. We passed the initial interview, the online registration, the panel discussion, the comprehension and computer skill and the final interview. But in the end, we were not chosen. We don’t know why. Maybe because of our course - nursing. I’m still proud of myself since I passed all the stages. Specially, the panel discussion, because out of 15, only 4 in the group passed and I’m one of them.
We end up around 11pm, we get a cab, and eat our dinner at Mcdonalds Marikina before we separate ways. My bf went their too and pick me up then send me home.
Lessons:
1. Always be ready! Prepare all you need like ids etc.
2. Wear a comfortable outfit, like flats so you would not fall.
3. Always be yourself. Trust God and your abilities
4. Always be positive. If you don’t get it. It means that something big is coming your way. What happens is just a preparation for that thing. God has its own timing, you just have to wait and be still.
